Why scrapping is good

Scrap is another term used for recycled material. It is easy for one to think that scrap is garbage, however there is a huge difference. Scrap has a monetary value, garbage does not. You are more likely to be able to get some form of cash for that old car sitting in your backyard than for the compost pile you have in the garden. Both are however environmentally healthy—you are recycling your scrap and using compost for mulch in the garden or flower beds. The largest form of scrap is steel, which is processed into a recyclable material to be used again. Scrap is found in a junkyard until it is picked up to be processed. You may be used to seeing some form of junkyard in your area. It is good practice to know where one is located for the extra scrap you have laying around the house you are no longer using. Scrap has a better purpose than a no purpose.
